AltSchool Africa Partners with Malta’s STC Higher Education to Help Alumni Earn Bachelors, Masters degrees

As part of its ongoing efforts to democratise access to quality education for present and future generations, AltSchool Africa has announced its new partnership with STC Higher Education in Malta, a collaboration that affords AltSchool alumni the opportunity to further their studies by pursuing internationally accredited, globally recognised Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Maltese institution.

This comes on the heels of AltSchool’s recent announcement at the SuperCharger Demo Day in Malta that it was expanding beyond the shores of Africa with the official launch of AltSchool Europe

STC Higher Education, one of Malta’s leading tertiary institutions, offers a wide range of courses and flexible learning programs, including bachelors and masters degree programs in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Business Management. Through its partnerships with global leaders such as NCC Education and the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom, STC enables students to earn internationally accredited qualifications while studying locally.

With this partnership, students who have either completed a diploma program at AltSchool Africa or current learners who are interested in obtaining another degree upon the completion of their program, will enjoy a seamless transition from AltSchool to STC Higher Education in Malta. They will also enjoy a 10% tuition discount by virtue of their association with AltSchool Africa.

According to Rachael Onoja, AltSchool’s Head of Innovation and New Markets, this partnership perfectly aligns with AltSchool’s mission to democratize access to quality, functional education for every African, enabling them to take advantage of rewarding job opportunities and build successful careers. “We are thrilled to have hit the ground running in Europe with our new partnership with STC Malta, which opens a whole new world of possibilities for learners in Africa and Europe. By leveraging STC’s impressive catalogue of programs, state-of-the-art training facilities, and existing strategic partnerships, students will be trained in line with global best standards and obtain degrees issued by UK universities like the University of Wolverhampton.”

Commenting, Nifemi Akinwamide, Head of Global Operations at AltSchool, lauded this collaboration between the two giants in the education space on two different continents, adding that it marks the beginning of a symbiotic relationship that will positively impact the lives of many students in both continents. “While this is our very first offering from this partnership, we are actively working with STC to introduce even more impactful projects and initiatives that will help us reach and empower more young, passionate talent wherever they may be”

Speaking further, Ana Pace Bonello mentioned STC has extended its international reach further by signing a new partnership agreement with AltSchool. This new collaboration underlines our commitment to internationalism and to growing our global connections. We are confident that this partnership will attract more students and adults to continue their studies and encourage international students to study at STC various programmes in business or computing at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
